Not as you’d expect. “As much as Sheldon loves Star Trek, Wil Wheaton is the only person associated with the franchise whom Sheldon has sworn eternal enmity toward,” says Wil.
During Star Trek: TNG’s run, many Trekkers opposed having a boy on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. But Wil says Sheldon’s hatred is “unrelated to the writing of the character I played.” In 1995, Sheldon had a disappointing autograph experience with Wil that left him seeking revenge.
“The Wil I play in the Big Bang universe is not such a nice person,” he says. “But in real life, I go out of my way to be kind and patient. My motto is: ‘Don’t be a d—!’”
